Discover Xochimilco on a 5-hour tour through canals, chinampas, and nature. Enjoy a visit to a cempasúchil (marigold) chinampa, perfect for taking photos among colorful flowers.
YOUR EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
  • ⏳ 5-hour tour.
  • 🚣‍♂️ Boatman service.
  • 👥 Maximum capacity of 15 people per trajinera.
🍔 You can bring your own food and drinks at no extra cost.
DEPARTURE TIMES
Boarding must take place after 8:30 a.m. and before 1:30 p.m.
ROUTE
You will sail along Xochimilco’s main canal, passing through the area with live music. Then you will stop at the “floating gardens,” or chinampas, to see their plants up close.
The ride will continue through the Caltongo Lagoon. You can stop at the axolotl sanctuary to see the axolotl, an iconic Xochimilco species, up close.
You will travel part of the Apatlaco Canal before heading into the ecological area, where you can enjoy its peaceful canals and see the smallest chinampa in Xochimilco.
To round off the experience, you will visit a cempasúchil chinampa, where you can take photos among the flowers and take home a colorful memory. 🌼📸

  • Axolotl sanctuary: $120 MXN per person.
  • Cempasúchil chinampa: $60 MXN per person.
